Bar and Grill night A Friendly Place to Gather

In 1914, our current location of Healdsburg Bar & Grill was a Harness and Saddle shop. This later became Bill Maher's Auto Glass, and then an auto dealer. In 1960, the current space was converted into a restaurant and has since been either a restaurant or bar.

When the previous owners vacated the space, Nick Nicastro and his family took it over. We wanted to create a Bar & Grill that was affordable, clean, fun and — most of all — would produce lots of memories for all...

The vacant lot north of this property also became available. We took that over and our thought was to create a Patio with an outside Oyster Bar, Bocce Court, and seating for as many as 200 guests. In order to accomplish this we had to make doors and windows where there were none before.

For that we were required to earthquake-retrofit the building. We put the 125-year-old Redwood Roof on pillars, removed all of the walls, rebuilt them, and then re-attached the new walls to the roof.

After a year of hard work, we opened our doors in June of 2001. HBG is becoming a friendly place to gather. We take pride in the quality of our food quality and its preparation. Our Culinary Crew prepares meals daily for all to enjoy. We have catered for groups as large as 200 people.

We also have live entertainment every weekend. We've hosted Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Charlie Musselwhite, Coco Montoya, Little Jonny, The Pulsators, W.C. Clark, and Craig Horton, just to name a few!

Please feel free to contact Nick Nicastro anytime at HBG (707) 433-3333 or email me at nick@hbg4fun.com.
